Abstract/ Paper Submission
Full-paper submission is scheduled to be open during 1st Mar. to 15th Jun., 2025. We strongly suggest you to prepare your paper by the Template, and the submission file format can be in doc, docx or pdf. Length of the paper should NOT exceed 4 pages (6 pages for the invited) as in the layout of the template.
Full-paper submission is on the Microsoft CMT platform, same as the Abstract submission. The procedure is similar with the abstract submission, too. For those who are new to CMT platform, you have to register an account before any submissions
Guidelines for the Full-paper submission process:
Step 1 Link ISDEIV2025 to your Microsoft CMT Account (Only for the NEW users, if you have already submitted an abstract, please skip to Step 2)
If you don’t have a Microsoft CMT account, register first (Register->Create New Account->Filling in the required information->register->Email verification) Logging into your CMT account. In the Conference List page, clicking “All Conferences” and add ISDEIV2025 to your conference list. The page will redirect to the “Author Console” Page for paper submission (Please confirm ISDEIV2025 is now showed up at the upright corner)
Step 2 Submit your Full Paper
In the “Author Console” page, clicking “Create New Submission”, submitting the required information and attaching the full-paper file(s). Please note, even though you might have submitted an abstract previous, we still suggest you to submit the full paper in an NEW submission, for the sake of convenient management.
By receiving your full paper, LOC will conduct a preliminary check, and improper layout or format may lead to the request of revision and resubmission. Afterwards, the paper will be sent out for peer reviewing. Final decision will be made before 10th July 2025.
Please also note, ONLY the “show up” full paper will be included in the Conference Proceeding that be submitted to IEEE Xplore and indexed by EI. In other words, both a qualified full paper and the presentation of at least one author to the conference are two necessary elements.
(By 27/02/2025, decision letter for each submitted abstract had been send to the Primary Contact Author, please check your email (possibly in the junk mail box) for details. Also, a decision of acceptance or rejection can be found on the Microsoft CMT platform)

2. ISDEIV Best Paper Award - Japan Prize
Objective The “ISDEIV Best Paper Award – Japan Prize” is given in recognition of the most significant contribution of the past Symposium of ISDEIV, established during the ISDEIV 2006 in Matsue, Japan. Significance will be judged by scientific or technological novelty and the likely impact on the fields of electrical discharges and electrical insulation in vacuum. Special attention will be paid to innovative ideas and breakthrough findings. One “ISDEIV Best Paper Award – Japan Prize” will be given at each symposium to an individual or a team of authors.
Eligibility The contributions must be (a) presented at the symposium and (b) included in the Proceedings of the symposium in award-worthy quality. (c) An altered and expanded version of the symposium contribution is required to be accepted for publication in a peer reviewed journal. As of 2025, IEEE Transactions of Plasma Science (TPS) and IEEE Transactions of Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation (DEI) continue to be the designated peer-reviewed journals. Authors of TPS Special Issue will be automatically considered. Authors of manuscripts to DEI are requested to inform the Chair of the Awards Committee, Prof. Rene Smeets (rene.smeets(at)dnvgl.com), of the acceptance of manuscript. This will help the committee to not overlook candidates.
